304Cu grade is in the class of austenitic stainless steels. It is a grade which made suitable for forging by adding copper to its 304 composition. The addition of copper alloy, makes the material ductile for cold forging and threading applications.

 

This grade has very good machinability and is highly ductile even at sub-zero temperatures. It is not magnetic. However, shows magnetic properties after cold processing.

 

It is generally used as a wire. It is resistant to organic acids but cannot show sufficient corrosion resistance in sea water.
