2205, 1.4462 or simply referred as the Duplex stainless steel, has both Austenitic and Ferritic properties. Duplex stainless steels stand out with their high corrosion resistance.

The 2205 grade, not only shows similar properties with the 304 and the 316 grades, but also has very high tensile strength and yield strength values. Thus 2205 has many applications which require its durability and lightness.

Even though it has much higher costs compared to other stainless steel grades, its ability to reach high durability even in small sizes make it a considerable choice in material selection.
